ENCORE Ministry relies on the gifts of generous donors. It does not receive apportionment dollars from the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference of The United Methodist Church. ENCORE Ministry provides — at no cost — resources, leader training, and consultation to local churches. ENCORE Ministry also provides grants for older adult ministries. Grants

Matching grants are made to churches, agencies, and affiliated organizations in the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference to support or develop intentional, innovative, and creative ministries and projects by, with, and for older adults.

Grant Application

Stocks, Bonds, Life Insurance & Real Estate

Stocks and bonds may be given so the donor can deduct the full fair market value as a charitable contribution and thus avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation.

Life insurance can be used to create a major gift at relatively low cost to the donor. If ENCORE Ministry is named owner or beneficiary of a new or existing policy, the donor receives a tax deduction. Additional premiums paid through ENCORE Ministry are tax deductible and proceeds pass to ENCORE Ministry free of estate tax.

Pledges can be made in honor or memory of someone. Pledges are tax-deductible as payments are received.
