Looking for something to fill and fulfill your time? Here are two ways you can help others in the Middle Tennessee area:

Directory Calls

The Council on Aging (COA) needs volunteers to make calls from the safety of your home to area businesses to update the next edition of the COA Directory of Services. Individuals should be comfortable calling companies, organizations, and agencies to confirm the accuracy of directory information. In recent years, the directory—updated and published every two years—has been distributed by ENCORE Ministry and the Golden Cross Foundation to churches throughout the Tennessee Conference. If you or someone you know is interested in making calls, please contact Paula Daigle at paula@coamidtn.org.

Calls to Older Adults

Senior Ride Nashville is looking for volunteers for its new Friendly Neighbor Program (FNP). Volunteers will call an older neighbor each week to provide friendly conversation, social stimulation, and offer errand support as needed. Volunteering with FNP is convenient (you can volunteer around your schedule), fun, and will make you feel good about giving back to your community! Program members live in West Nashville, Madison, Donelson, Hermitage, Old Hickory, and East Nashville. For more information, click here.
